When I must leave you
for a little while,
Please go on bravely
with a gallant smile
And for my sake and in my name,
Live on and do all things the same-
Spend not your life in empty days,
But fill each waking hour
in useful ways-
Reach out your hand
in comfort and in cheer,
And I in turn will confort you
and hold you near.

I just want to say that I miss my father very much. He was a quiet, gentle man. He loved working with wood building furniture, etc. and he also loved working in his garden. He is also loved and missed by his grandchildren: Willy, Sean and Shelley and his son-in-law, Bill. Dad was a veteran of WWII. He served in the Navy on the U.S.S. Wiley as a Gunners Mate III.

Phil was a beautiful man who brought a considerable amount of joy into the lives of the people he met. He was well known for his wit and breadth of knowledge. He worked hard for the Terrence Higgins Trust (the HIV charity in London) for six years as a volunteer cousellor, trainer, computer operator and speaker. He will be greatly missed by his partner Graham, his parents and the other members of his large extended family.

Don’t be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends.

The mark of your ignorance is the depth of your belief in injustice and tragedy. What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly.

Derek was my cousin…more like my brother! We were close friends too. He was always there when I needed help. Derek would help anyone if he could. Anyone that knew him will tell you what a great guy he was…very polite, caring man…he was a very hard worker…very dependable!!!
He loved motorcycles, as we all know, hunting, fishing and being with his friends and family.
The two most important people in his life were his two boys, Dominic and Cody!!!! They are still so young…but we will keep Derek alive to them. They loved their daddy very much….as he loved them with all his heart!!!!
The one thing that Derek always searched for … but was unable to find…was true happiness!!! Derek and I had so many conversations about it…you have to make your own happiness…it doesnt get handed to you!
That’s the one thing I regret about God taking him too soon… He deserved a chance at true happiness on this earth as much as the rest of us do!! I do believe he has found true happiness now… Looking down on all of us..:-) Playing in the clouds……watching over his two babies!!! It hasn’t been that long since he left us. I still think about him every day. I laugh… then I cry!!! I Love you Derek….and I miss you so much!!!!
Your friend and cousin always!!

My dad was 5’9″ tall, had blonde hair, blue eyes and a very sporty body. He had a great sense of humour, loved rock music, new clothes (but sometimes never wore them) and me and mum.

He always liked to send people up, he was a great tease. I even miss that about him.

My nanny is a counsellor and writer and she wrote a poem and I want to put it here because my dad was also a Gestalt Therapist;

 	Life is....
 	a process,
 	a moving tapestry
 	of experiences...
 	of beginnings
 	and endings...
 	joy and laughter...
 	tears and saddness...
 	fears and uncertainties...
 	hurt and anger...
 	guilt and forgiveness...
 	the writing of a
 	book of memories...
 	a passionate gestalt.

I love you dad and miss you very much.

Isadore Silverman

Beloved husband to Rosalind

Father to Joan, Laurie, and Renee

Father in Law to Richard and Joseph

Grandfather to Seth, Miriam, and Richard, Jr.

Here was man that was greatly admired in his community. He ran a cleaning store that his father opened in White Plains, NY. He always had a story to tell anyone who’d listen. He served his customers well with personal pick up and deleiveries of clothing.

He served in World War II as a Master Sergent in the Quatermaster Corps.

He was devoted to his family and helped care for two elderly aunts (who out-lived him). He was quick with a joke and loved to tease the kids.

His posting here, five years after his passing is to honor his memory. Your family misses you.

Rest in Peace Big D

I do not know why you committed suicide Andrew, you took the answer to that question to the grave. I do know that I love you and miss you little brother. I wish I could turn back the clock and change things but I can’t.

I often go down to the beach where you said goodbye to the world it’s a peacful spot. Mum and Dad miss you very much, Cara and Stanley don’t understand that you won’t be comming home, they wait for you at the window.

Where ever you are think of me like I think of you.
