God has belssed me w/life eternal! What a wonderful
privilege it is to be used by God. I pray that I may never
hinder God’s witness through my life but always progress it.
God is my stength when I am weak, oh and He is the treasure
that I seek! PRAISE THE LORD, for He is greatly to be
praised! My God is everything in One – My strength, my
creator, my savior, my father, my encourager, my King, and
He is my friend.
He does all that and still spends time/me AMAZING.

In memory of our beloved Tatiana Troyanos

“Hear now the secret of the silver rose:
Never in the heart of a loving God
Will we be parted one from the other,
Not ever, my dear.”

Into paradise may the angels lead thee;
and at thy coming may the martyrs receive thee,
and bring thee into the holy city Jerusalem.

Our father left us so suddenly that we were not able to say our final goodbyes.
I miss him terribly and only wish that I could have told him how much I loved him before he left this world.
He was always a stable force in my life; predictable and kind. My life has not been the
same without him. At least he is with our mother, Sadie, who I’m sure will keep him
company long into eternity.

Daddy, we all are well and we miss you terribly!

My dear mother, Sadie, suffered a long time through many illnesses which ultimately left her sad and debilitated. Although she left us, we are grateful for the peace that she now has. Her life was always a struggle from the time she was born until her death from kidney disease.

My mother’s sense of humor and talented hands are my legacy from her. I miss speaking to her and often wish for a few minutes to be able to tell her how much I loved her.

She is greatly missed by her 3 children.

MY DEAR SON
ALEX

I’VE TOLD YOU ALL ALONG HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU.
I’VE NEVER TOLD YOU HOW MUCH I’LL MISS YOU.
I’LL MISS YOU WHEN THE SNOW FALLS.
I’LL MISS YOU WHEN IT RAINS.
I’LL MISS YOU IN THE SPRINGTIME AND ON SUNNY SUMMER DAYS.
YOUR MUDDY BOOTS ACROSS MY FLOOR, I GUESS I’LL MISS THAT EVERMORE.
YOUR GREAT BIG ARMS THAT HELD ME TIGHT AND TOLD ME “I’LL BE ALRIGHT.
YOU’VE LEFT A GREAT BIG EMPTY HERE WE ALL WERE BLESSED TO HAVE YOU NEAR.

LOVE MOM

ALEX THIS SONG’S FOR YOU

SING IT TO “YOU ARE THE SUNSHINE OF MY LIFE.”
YOU WERE OF MINE AND EVERYONES.

YOU WERE THE THE SUNSHINE OF MY LIFE.
HOW WILL I EVER LIVE WITHOUT YOU.
YOU WERE THE SUNSHINE OF MY LIFE.
FOREVER YOU’LL BE IN MY HEART.
WHAT DO THEY THINK THAT I CAN DO NOW.
NOW THAT YOUR GONE AND I’AM ALONE.
WHAT DO THEY THINK THAT I SHOULD DO NOW IN THIS EMPTINESS.
THAT WAS YOUR HOME
YOU WERE THE SUNSHINE OF MY LIFE AND I WILL MISS YOU DEAR
FOREVER,
ALEX**THANK YOU… FOR EVERYTHING.
I’LL LOVE YOU FOREVER.

LOVE MOM

WHEN PEOPLE MET ALEX THERE WERE ALWAYS QUESTIONS.

HERE FINALLY ARE SOME ANSWERS.

WHY WAS ALEX ALWAYS IN SUCH A HURRY?
BECAUSE HE HAD SO MUCH TO DO AND SO MUCH TO GIVE IN SO
LITTLE TIME.

WHAT DID ALEX DO?
HE MET FRIENDS AND MADE THEM FAMILY.

WHAT DID ALEX LIVE FOR?
THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE, HIS WIFE, JULIE, AND HIS FAMILY.

WHO WAS HIS FAMILY?
SEE QUESTION # 2.

WHAT DID ALEX WANT OUT OF LIFE?
HE WANTED EVERYONE TO BE HAPPY AND WANTED TO BE LOVED.

WHAT WOULD ALEX SAY?
HIS FAVORITE WORDS WERE “DON’T WORRY ABOUT ME.” AND
“LETS DO IT”.

DEAR JULIE, ANN, WOODY AND FAMILY

I WOULD LIKE TO OFFER A FEW LINES ABOUT FEELINGS AND MEMORIES OF ALEX. HE WAS ONE OF THE MOST HONEST, CARING AND GENUINE PEOPLE THAT I HAVE EVER KNOWN. HIS ENERGY AND LOVE OF LIFE WAS CONTAGIOUS TO ALL THOSE AROUND HIM.

WE REMEMBER HIS EXCITEMENT AND AWE WHEN HE WAS HANDLING THE RED-TAIL HAWK AT THE NATURE CENTER AND HIS ENTHUSIASM IN DESCRIBING THE PEREGRINE PROJECT IN DETROIT.  ALEX WAS ABLE TO TAKE HARD AND DIRTY WORK AND MAKE IT ENJOYABLE.  I RECALL THE HOURS HE SPENT CLEANING OUT THE OVERFLOW OF THE POND ON THE NORTH 40 AT SEVEN PONDS.  IT WAS AS DIFFICULT AND DIRTY JOB AS I CAN IMAGINE BUT ALEX DID A GREAT JOB AND SEEMED TO ENJOY IT BECAUSE HE WAS DOING SOMETHING THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE.  AS I RECALL. HE HAD TO BE HOSED OFF TO EVEN START MAKING HIM PRESENTABLE AGAIN.

ANOTHER MEMORY WAS BROUGHT UP BY OUR DAUGHTER KATHY, NOW 23.  SHE REMEMBERS THE WORK HE AND OTHER TEEN VOLUNTEERS PUT IN TO CREATE THE HAUNTED BOAT HOUSE FOR THE CENTER’S HALLOWEEN EVENT.  HE WAS SO PROUD OF THE FINISHED PRODUCT AND ESPECIALLY OF HIS SPECIAL EFFORT.  HE HAD CUT A HOLE IN A TABLE AND STUCK HIS HEAD THROUGH IT AND SURROUNDED IT WITH PASTA.  WITH THE APPROPRIATE MAKEUP HE BECAME THE “MEATBALL IN THE SPAGHETTI”

DIANA:   NOW 16, REMEMBERS THE TRIP TO THE DETROIT ZOO WITH HIM AND SLEEPING IN HIS LAP ON THE WAY HOME. SHE STILL HAS THE PLUSH STUFFED LOON THAT HE GAVE TO HER SHORTLY AFTERWARDS AND THAT SHE USED TO ALWAYS SLEEP WITH.

JULIE:  AT ONE POINT ON YOUR HONEYMOON TRIP THROUGH ILLINOIS, ALEX CONFIDED IN ME THAT HE HAD NEVER BEEN HAPPIER AND FELT HE WAS SO LUCKY TO HAVE YOU AS HIS WIFE.

I FEEL FORTUNATE TO HAVE KNOWN ALEX AS A FRIEND AND AM HUMBLED BY THE FACT THAT HE FELT I HAD SOME IMPACT ON HIS LIFE.  I AM PROUD OF HIM AS A MAN.

ANN, WOODY:  I WOULD HAVE BEEN PROUD TO HAD HAD ALEX AS MY SON, AS I AM SURE YOU ARE.

ALEX WILL BE REMEMBERED. THERE WILL BE TIMES THAT I WILL WATCH A RED-TAIL HAWK SOAR, ENJOY A SUNSET, A SNOWY MORNING OR A STARRY NIGHT THAT I WILL RECALL A VERY SPECIAL YOUNG MAN WHO LEFT US ALL TO SOON.

MIKE.

ALEX WAS KILLED BY A DRUNK DRIVER ON HIS WAY TO WORK.
HOW UNJUST.

JOHN.

Isobel, my best friend, arrived in the USA by herself when she was 18 years old. I met her at Schrafft’s restaurant chain where we both worked in New York City. She was the extrovert in the friendship and brought out the best in me. She was beautiful, funny and thoughtful (and a great dancer) and was loved by all of us. She loved living in Manhattan. Isobel married Dick Tracy who adored her even though they ultimately divorced. Sometimes in an instant flash I want to pick up the telephone and call her. Hopefully, she’ll get this message in Heaven. Isobel is missed.
