I have stood at the ocean’s edge, seeking that which man has sought through the breaking waves of time. I have walked through the silent dense forests speaking with my brother the animal.
I have gone to the far place in minutes, where it took my father days to travel, nay, years. I have been lost in the love of a woman’s passion, seeming to not return the same as when I left.

Hap was an accomplished musician with a golden voice. His day gigs were many but included interior design in and around New England. His group, Jazz Galley, played in and around Boston, Massachusetts during the 60’s and early 70’s.
His sense of humor, his wide and expansive heart, his love of children and animals lives on in our memories of him. If love could have saved him he would be here with us…
In a world not always caring, Hap was a rarity—not a vindictive bone in his body. He was in our corner always and will be in our hearts always.

Bob was a river boatman, desert rat, and to many a character
symbolic of a bygone era in Southeast Utah. He came to
Moab, Utah in 1970. He established Moab’s first bicycle
shop, boated with the old river runners, and taught
First Aid and Wilderness First Responder courses to many of
today’s river raft guides.
He moved to Castle Valley in 1974 and built his first house
on top of a friend’s chicken coop. He formed Descent River
Expeditions in 1984 and co-invented Cross-Country Croquet,
often played at “Deglo Downs.”
Robert was as unique as the land he loved so much. His gruff
voice and rough manner only slightly covered up a sweet,
loving man who will be deeply missed.

Rob was a loving Father, son and brother. He died showing more concern for others than he did 
for himself. He did not want to be fussed or hovered over. He just wanted everyone to take care of themselves. He said he was secure with God and that he was ready. He tried to make everyone happy and would help those that were in need. He did not like to hear anyone putting someone else down and would say so or leave the room. Rob will be missed physically, but will be with us in our hearts.
