Ms. Morris was a graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor of fine arts degree in graphic design. Since Nov. 1, 1983, she worked as publications coordinator and graphic designer for Offinger Management Co., Zanesville, Ohio, preparing promotional literature and association newsletters for several national and international trade associations. She was also a Web mailing list administrator for the JMDG-L, an Internet mailing list devoted to the discussion of the work of actor/writer/producer James Morrison. In addition to a wide circle of local friends, she established internet friendships across the country whom she also visited in person. She was a member of the Cambridge Writers Workshop and won prizes for her short stories and poetry. She supported local organizations, often providing her graphic art and desktop publishing skills, including the Zanesville Habitat for Humanity and the Brighton Historic Association. She was preceded in death by her father, William “Bill” Morris, who died in 1995; and her paternal grandmother, Bernice Keyser. Survivors include her mother, Alice June Chambers Morris of Beckley; brothers Kevin and his wife, Sarah, and their two children, Jacob and Jessica Morris of Beckley, and Scott Morris of Beckley; her maternal grandmother, Lillian Chambers of Beckley; an aunt, Mildred “Mid” Chambers of Beckley. Pleasant dreams, Paula.
